We had a pretty shitty labour day weekend in terms of weather. It was strong winds, then we had a few hours of snow on Saturday. I had big plans for the weekend, I wanted to go berry picking but alas we stayed home on Saturday till Monday because it was just horrid outside. So I sewed..and sewed some more while Frank entertained the kids. I told myself that I wanted to dedicate a fair amount of time sewing and boy did I sewed up a storm!It was all this for Ava

And the jeans she is wearing. And because the jeans is from a woman’s jean, I had enough to make a skirt for her!. I know skirt in Iqaluit..soo not practical since its already September but she will be able to wear this with tights when we go to Ottawa and she can wear this still in Iqaluit but with tights. And the flower doubles up as pockets and any 3 years old will fall in love with that..girly and functional.

And of course the sun during the short summer months seems to work magic in terms of growth spurt so the kids needed new winter hats, Ava’s hat needs some tweaking but Ben’s hat is perfect!

And Frank’s end of the long weekend, he tried to take studio shots of the kids and this time it was wayyyyy better. He took 254 pictures, these are some of the good ones..Of course we have funny silly faces pictures of them too. And yes, I had to bribe them with smarties so they would cooperate and they did good.

And my sweet little girl, though I like the 2nd picture too..

And I realized her hair has a red tint, that is sooo Frank..
