First day of summer

And it was nice today! +16C and the kids were enjoying the weather outside. I was very surprised to see that I’ve packed EVERYTHING and we have about 10 more days to go before we move. Amazing! I did have some meltdown primarily because the moving date was brought forward and Frank is still away and had to extend his trip so it was either do or die situation. The kids were GREAT, it was only yesterday, they start to really be bothered with the packing stuff especially Ava who noticed there are no toys and she cant get toys from her toy bin. Its nice to be able to smell clean fresh laundry drying in the sun, yes it was that warm but still nice. I think today marked the longest day of the year and the sun is not setting, it sorts of just straddles the horizon. This were taken today.

  2. wow…. I love those long days but then again my kids would NEVER sleep…. Jacob won’t go to bed till the sun goes down here at 9:30…….

way to go on the packing…..!

  3. Thanks for the pics… I had a friend that lived in Norman Wells for 3 years. I heard about the midnight sun… In South Western Ontario it is DARK by 9:30 – 10, but here in Manitoba there is enough light to read outside at 11 (but it is dark before midnight…).

That is great about the packing! I was not nearly that prepared when we moved here…

  4. u are done? superwoman lah you woman. hope all goes well :)

  7. Just got caught up, congrats on the move!!! Everyone is moving! I don’t know if we’ll get to Iqaluit for a long stay, but we will be flying through on our way down at some point. This move will be great for the kids, so many more activities in Iqaluit over the smaller communities.

  8. wow, small world. i think i know you from MDC? and most recently from DS and SM. we’re headed to NFLD in august to visit my MIL. :)
